What Car Cupid does
Car Cupid is a UK used-car comparison site. Searching for a car normally means opening half a dozen tabs and typing the same thing into each one. We put a single search box in front of five of the largest UK car marketplaces — AutoTrader, eBay Motors, Cazoo and Cinch — so you fill in what you want once and go straight to the results on each site.
Alongside the search, we run two other things:
- An AI assistant that takes a plain-English description of what you need — your budget, how you drive, what matters to you — and suggests three specific makes and models worth looking at.
- Live eBay listings shown directly on the site, filtered to UK sellers and screened to remove parts and accessories that clutter up vehicle searches.
We also publish a library of guides on buying, running and maintaining a used car in the UK, covering everything from MOT failure points to negotiating with dealers.
What Car Cupid is not
We do not sell cars. We are not a dealer, a broker, or a finance provider. We hold no stock, we never take payment for a vehicle, and we are not party to any transaction you make. Every car you see belongs to a third-party seller on a third-party platform, and any purchase is between you and them.
We also do not verify individual listings. The details you see — price, mileage, year, condition — come from the platform hosting the advert. Always check a car in person, run a history check, and confirm the details before you commit to anything.
How we make money
Car Cupid is free to use and always will be. We are funded through affiliate commission: when you click through to a partner site and go on to buy something, that partner may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the site directly.

How we approach accuracy
A comparison site is only worth anything if you can trust what it tells you. A few commitments we hold ourselves to:
- Where we cannot confirm something, we say so. Listings whose age we cannot verify from the advert are flagged with an “Age unverified” tag rather than quietly dropped or presented as confirmed.
- We describe what the site actually does. Live listings are labelled as live; one-tap searches are labelled as searches.
- Our guides are written to be useful on their own, not as a wrapper around a sales pitch.
If you spot something on the site that is wrong, misleading or out of date, please tell us. We would rather hear it from you than leave it standing.
